RAA Students

Students from RAA get a 10% discount on group and private lessons.

Junior School Students:

They are able to ride at lunch time in group lessons, or after school. We will collect those booked in for lunchtime lessons at 11:55am from the school reception. They are then able to come and get changed at the stables before their lesson at 12:05. Students are welcome to leave hats, boots and body protectors in a locker at the stables. All items are left at your own risk.

We will then take riders back to school at 1pm with a packed lunch. Lunch is normally a sandwich, crisps, biscuits and fruit. If they have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance.

We have different level groups on each lunch time. Bookings are on a first come basis. When booking for the whole term, you are able to get a further discount by block booking or purchasing tokens. Please email if you would like more information.

We hold pony care sessions on a Thursday lunch time. This is a chance for riders to learn more about how to look after your pony and work towards pony club badges.

Some junior students ride after school. We are able to collect for the 4pm lesson. However, we are not able to collect for later lessons, and are not able to drop students back to the boarding houses. Only students that can be collected after their lesson from the stables are able to ride after school. There are some situations when we may be able to drop back, but this must be agreed in advance and with the house as well.

On Saturdays, we can collect at 11:10am for the pony club session at 11:30 each week. We are unable to drop back to the house, students will need collecting from the stables.

Senior Students:

There are a limited number of private lessons available 1-1:30pm during the school day. Seniors in Y7 and 8 have been able to use these times. Please get in touch if you would like lessons at this time.

All other seniors ride after school or on a Saturday. They are able to walk to the stables and walk back to the boarding houses. We have a range of group lessons available as well as private lessons. Students are welcome to leave equipment in lockers, at their own risk.

NSEA:

Students are encouraged to take part in the National Schools Equestrian Association events. We have taken part in the pop up dressage series. This requires riders to video a dressage test to be sent off for marking. This is a great way to compete for your school, but done at RAA without the pressure of traveling.

If students with their own pony would like to take part, please contact us, as we would love to support you with this. NSEA hold regular show jumping, dressage and combined training competitions open to students who wish to compete for their school.
